Another wonderful and eventful two weeks at St Roch's has come and gone with much to share.
A glorious sunny day on Saturday was provided for our school and parish community as St Roch’s hosted the Election Day Polling Booth. Thank you to members of our Parents and Friends Committee who ran a sausage sizzle and cake stall along side our Parish, highlighting the truly special and unique connection between our school and Parish.
Our Year 1/2 students ventured out into Melbourne city this fortnight to explore the MCG and Yarra river as part of their History based Inquiry unit of work. The students had fun exploring parts of Melbourne's rich history and seeing behind the scenes at the MCG.
On Tuesday morning, we were delighted to welcome pre-schoolers to St Roch’s. Our Year 6 leaders greeted these very excited children and their parents in the foyer. With little legs, they bravely climbed the stairs to enter the St Roch’s Hall for Story Time. The Hall was transformed in readiness for this event with craft tables, building blocks, duplo and books. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to spend time getting to know other students who will be coming to St Roch’s next year. Their little brothers and sisters had a lot of fun too!
