I am often asked by prospective parents what makes St Roch's different. After many years at St Roch's, my answer is always the same. "If you want to embrace a community and be embraced by a community, then this is the place to be". - Angie Mastoras, Principal

Today has been an example of the warmth we have for each other. As our fathers and special people arrived to celebrate 'Father's Day' together this morning, you could feel the excitement in the air. We are most grateful to the Year 4 Families who supported Monique Stewart and Michelle Howe to put on a great breakfast for our fathers and students today. It was also lovely to see our students escort their dads to their classrooms. Thanks must also go to Dani, Celeste and their team of helpers for their work with the Father's Day Stall.

How lovely it was to be a part of the P&F Trivia Night!! Nicola Mooney and Fiona Cripps outdid themselves on Friday evening. Thank you to them and to their assistants, to Louisa McCann, Hayley Thomas and Kate Moore. This night was full of community, fun, laughter and joy!! It was wonderful to see our parents in the St Roch’s Hall enjoying each other's company after the last two years. There are many people who contributed to the success of the night, the Bristow’s, Kate Phillips for organising the Silent Auction items and Kathy Low for donating the major prize.

Our newsletter this week also farewells Lisa Wavell-Smith and Simone Karpin. We know that Lisa and Simone will be greatly missed by everyone and send our heartfelt thanks for all of their contributions to St Roch's. Please join us at the 3/4SG Assembly on Wednesday, 14 September from 2.40pm to farewell these lovely ladies.
